Curriculum mapping is a process for planning and communicating instruction in classrooms
throughout grades levels and content areas within a school district.
It is a calendar-based format that illustrates the units, skills, and assessments that
students experience throughout the academic school year.

align the district curriculum with Delaware's State Recommended Curriculum
assist teachers in their instructional planning, lesson development, assessment, and use of core materials
inform parents about the content and skills their children are receiving in the classroom
ensure that the curriculum in each of the district schools is similar and consistent
